Acupuncture, SARS, and the Immune System

In 2003, SARS (a coronavirus) spread through Hong Kong and neighboring Guangdong. Both dealt with the disease differently, and while Hong Kong only used western medicine to combat SARS, Guangdong used an integrative approach which included Traditional Chinese Medicine.

According to the World Health Organization, Guangdong had less death, and people recovered faster than people in Hong Kong.

Acupuncture is a great tool to reduce inflammation; it’s the inflammation that tears us up physically and mentally. It’s still not a replacement for tensegrity, but if you’re feeling run down or beat up, it’s a great addition to tensegrity to alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, and in today’s world, give you a better chance at dealing with illness.
